Pleasant Evening on the Prairie

In mid-June four INHF staff members and six volunteers spent their evening pulling invasive species on an INHF prairie in Jasper County.
The volunteer event participants helped rid the two main hill sides of wild parsnip and bull thistle.
Mary Runkel, INHF volunteer coordinator, felt the “relaxed evening clearing the hillsides” was very successful.
One volunteer enjoyed the opportunity “to visit a new natural area in Iowa.”
