Soil Health Field Day

Join INHF and our partners for a free field day to learn about soil health at McLaughlin Farms, a 320 acre family farm utilizing adaptive rotational grazing, row crops and cover crops in Madison County. 

This field day, in celebration of National Soil Health Day, will feature:

  • Iowa Learning Farms Conservation Station (Rainfall Simulator)
  • Demonstrations, speakers, field tour, discussion, and networking
  • Lunch provided! Bring a lawn chair.
  • This event is free and open to the public!

About McLaughlin Farms

In 2023, INHF worked with the McLaughlin family to protect 107 acres of their farm with an agricultural land easement (ALE). The McLaughlins have a strong focus on conservation on their 320-acre farm, which utilizes adaptive rotational grazing, row crops and cover crops.
