The program support intern plays a vital role at INHF by writing grants that provide funding for land conservation and other INHF projects. He or she may also write posts for the INHF blog, visit INHF properties and provide other general program support. There is a certain degree of flexibility outside the internship’s grant writing core, and we encourage candidates to make the position their own. Gain real-world experience by designing professional-quality publications. INHF design interns are a vital part of INHF’s outreach strategy. Interns work with every department to create display and handout materials, and complete special projects. Design interns gain experience working within an established brand and representing that brand to in-person and digital audiences. Design interns work on INHF’s yearly nature calendar, INHF’s quarterly magazine, outreach brochures and handouts, project mailings, event materials, web graphics and many more projects. Learn more.
Iowa Conservation Jobs
AmeriCorps Iowa Trails Corps Crew Members and Leaders (ages 18-25) participate in on-the-job training to learn natural resources management skills and put those skills into practice enhancing, restoring and improving Iowa’s regional destination trails. This position involves physically challenging, team-oriented AmeriCorps service. The goals of this program are to conduct ecological restoration on Iowa’s multi-use recreation trails, increase community outreach, strengthen trail partnerships and improve trail natural resource health along the corridor.
