The Cedar River Watershed Project is a organized by more than 20 county conservation boards along the Cedar River Watershed in Iowa, all of which are hoping to educate the public about the importance of watersheds and water quality in general.

Above, a trailer of the documentary film “Resilience” illustrates the extreme danger flooding poses not only to eastern Iowa but the state as a whole.

The Cedar Rapids-based film company, MVP Studios, documented the flooding of the area in 2008 and how it affected the citizens and businesses within the community.

The movie premiered on June 11, 2009 as part of the Cedar Rapids Downtown District’s RIVERenaissance event.
