Meet “America's Darling”

By INHF on October 10, 2012 in Blog

All Rights Reserved INHFDing Darling was a Pulitzer Prize-winning editorial cartoonist and an accomplished Iowa conservationist.

From heading the U.S. Biological Survey to founding the U.S. Duck Stamp Program, Darling was committed to protecting the land he loved for future generations. Since we also have a deep love for the land we live on, INHF works to ensure Iowans remember the state’s great conservation leader and continues to support Iowa environmental education in Darling’s name.

Now, nearly 50 years after his death, Darling will be memorialized in a new documentary that will highlight his important work and accomplishments.

“America’s Darling: J.N. ‘Ding’ Darling”

To honor Darling’s legacy and ensure it was not forgotten, documentary filmmaker Sam Koltinsky set out to create a documentary about the cartoonist’s life and career. The film was produced by Marvo Entertainment Group, a company owned by Koltinsky specializing in bringing “extraordinary stories to life.”
